What is a cookie?

Session cookies: Session cookies only stay in the browser for as long as someone is visiting the website, and they are automatically deleted when the visitor leaves the website. Danish Nature and Coastal Tourism uses persistent cookies to collect statistical data about user behaviour on our website and about the number of new visitors and repeat visitors using the site. The statistics are anonymous and do not show any personal data, nor postal addresses or IP addresses.

Is it possible to delete or avoid cookies?
It is always possible to delete a cookie. You do so by deleting it on the computer or device, for example a smartphone or a tablet, that you use when visiting the website. You can also avoid cookies in future by changing your browser settings. The way to do this depends on the browser used.
